Bennington Elementary School is home to about 250 students! We prepare our students with the skill necessary to be life long learners and to be responsible citizens of their community. We believe the necessary skill include: high academics, high self-esteem and acceptance of responsibility for one's own actions. The Bennington Staff believes that all children can learn and each will achieve his/her own unique potential. - Craig Gantenbein, Principal Bennington Grade School
"The true Bennington Advantage is the small community feel, located immediately adjacent to a larger city. With Salina just fifteen minutes away, our school enjoys all of the benefits and opportunities a large city can provide while maintaining the small town atmosphere which champions perseverance, self-reliance, and honesty. It is just simply a great place to be." Curtis Nightingale Jr/Sr High School Principal

When asked, "Why Bennington Schools?" some of our teachers answered:
"A staff who cares about their students in all aspects of their lives." "We teach here because we chose to do so." "Teaching in our school is a calling, not just a paycheck." "In a school this size, we teachers know the students and can affect positive changes in their attitudes, behaviors, and knowledge."

What do our students like about being Bennington Bulldogs? "What I like about Bennington is that it's not too big for me because then I can be closer to teachers for help. I also love our sports program because we have many choices and we are very competitive and fun to watch. It's nice to have a lounge to chill out in when you're tired or want to have fun. There's so many good classes to learn cool things." Easton "I like Bennington because it is small. We have a good sports program because it's easier to have one-on-one with coaches. Also, there's not many people. It's like family and everyone is friendly and if you do something wrong then there's always someone to help you." Jon M. "I like Bennington because it's a small school. We have great sports programs that are competitive. We also have good upperclassmen, not ones that bully you. You get to chill out in the lounge and play pool or ping pong." Taygen W. "I like Bennington because it's small enough to get to know everyone. You can get help from the teachers and they understand what kind of things you need help with. We also have good sports programs and it's nice that you can get to know the coaches." Shara S. "I have been at Bennington since I was a little kid and I have loved it. Every year gets better for me as I grow up. Our sports program is great and is one of the best in 2A . I like that I know everyone pretty much and I'm real close with the teachers." Ryan S.
